FASCINATING AND BEAUTIFUL STONES app for iPhone and iPad

The world of stone formations introduced in this book app focuses mostly on silica-based stones such as agate and jasper. All most 380 illustrations consist mainly of cut surfaces of stones to show what colors and forms are created in a stone as a result of various minerals having been mixed and compressed together.
The world of stone formation is filled with surprises surpassing our imagination. In that world, we can find condensed versions of nature’s various forms.
It is the author’s hope that this book app will fill in the gaps between typical illustrated books of stones and minerals and illustrated books on stone appreciation.

【About the Author】
Hideharu Yamada was born in 1962 in Tokyo Japan. He is a graphic designer specializes in book making. He is also known as a photographer shooting many archeaological sites and he published a book about megalithic culture in British Isles. He has been collecting agates and other semi-precious stones since his twenties.
